If you have a question about this talk, please contact Ilana Spilka. Obesity is a worldwide epidemic while low vitamin D levels,being increasinlgy prevelant, have often been associated with Obesity. Various studies have attemped to identify this association in different age groups, ethnicity, professions including athletes, dietary patterns and presence of chronic medical problems. This presentation will attempt to summarise this association based on evidence based high quality studies.There will be a focus on the Middle Eastern and Saudi Arabian population due to lack of good quality research in that region. This presentation will attract a global audience due to the global prevelance of the obesity epidemic and low vitamin D levels.
