‘Workshop exploring the impact of changing times on equality in the UK: diverse perspectives on identity and difference, exploring what can done to move towards a more positive future’

How has the impact of recent public debates impacted on the sense of identity? This workshop offers an opportunity to discuss changing attitudes to identity and the potential impact of these changes on Cambridge communities and on equalities.

We will also explore strategies to move towards a more inclusive future.

This workshop is facilitated by Ila Chandavarkar who is a consultant and trainer with over 30 years experience in equalities, human rights and diversity. Her previous roles include Head of Policy at the national Women’s Resource Centre, Non-Executive Director for the Government Office in the East of England, Chief Officer at MENTER [a Black and Minority Ethnic network for the Eastern region] and Equalities/Voluntary Sector Support Manager at Cambridge City Council Community Development.
