If you have a question about this talk, please contact Mari Huhtala. Design of new technologies and industries is quite a complex undertaking, requiring focus on a plethora of, often seemingly unrelated, factors. This presentation will discuss commercial examples of designing new technologies that have the potential to transform healthcare, as well as designing the structure, services and a complex manufacturing system of an entirely new nano material industry. Dr Anna Mieczakowski is an alumna and industrial collaborator of the Cambridge Engineering Design Centre, specialising in Healthcare and Inclusive Design. Currently, she leads the operations and business development functions in a young company FGV Cambridge Nanosystems specialising in the production of a new wonder nano material – graphene, where the application of inclusive design principles is a key differentiator in the development of the next generation of customer and industrial products and services. She tweets on the latest technological insights @amieczakowski Anna’s personal website – www.annamieczakowski.com This talk is part of the Engineering Design Centre Seminars series.
