The lecture will follow the 2016 CIPH and Network annual public health conference, which will examine the interface between infectious diseases and non-communicable diseases. Highlights include: 10.30 Opening Speech with Professor Carol Brayne, Director, Cambridge Institute of Public Health 10.50 Talks – Bridging the gap: public health and the interface with infectious diseases – with Gordon Dougan, Ann Prentice and Margaret Stanley. Introduced/chaired by Aliko Ahmed 13.30 Talks – Risk and Susceptibilities across transmissible and non-transmissible diseases – with Lydia Drumright, Ros Parkes-Ratanshi, Angelique Mavrodaris and Farida Mayanja. Chaired by Sheila Bird 16.10 Short talks – Translating knowledge across transmissible and non-transmissible diseases – with James Wood, Ashley Moffett, Nick Brown and Dani De Angelis.
