Cambridge University Wilderness Medicine Society (CUWMS) is proud to present our first talk of the year, CONFLICT SURGERY : THE GREAT GAME FROM THE SIDELINES .

Our speaker, Mr Philip Henman, is a orthopaedic surgeon in Newcastle. He has a special interest in providing care to people in war torn areas and his recent project includes the charity, Sandy Gall’s Afghanistan Appeal (SGAA). He has recently returned from Afghanistan and will talk about the challenges he encountered while he was practising surgery there and in other areas of a similar setting.

Mr Henman will be available for questions after the talk. Refreshments will be provided.
