If you have a question about this talk, please contact . About the speaker: The lecture is free and open to the public, and it will be delivered in Mandarin. It is organised by UK-China Economics and Cultural Promotion Association. Ren ping is professor in the China National Academy of Arts. He is also a member of the calligraphy education commission of the China Calligraphers Association and the deputy director of the calligraphy education commission. Dedicated to the studies on Chinese characters and arts, he published books like Collection of Chinese Calligraphy During Southern Song Dynasty. He has held personal exhibitions at home and abroad in France America Australia and German, publishing more than 40 kinds of models of calligraphy for practice. His works have been collected by many cultural and education organizations. He won the Lanting Award, the highest prize in Chinese calligraphy in 2006 and was selected as one of the hundred outstanding calligraphers in China and the hundred most promising calligraphers.
