A Lay Person's Path Towards Awakening

The talk will be on how can a lay person keep the balance between the practice of Buddhism and living in the world. The following questions will be addressed:
  • How diligently should one keep the five precepts?
  • Is it possible to have a meaningful relationship with a partner, considering that we are supposed to abandon attachment?
  • What is the view of love according to the Buddha’s teachings?
  • How should a lay person practice in order to reach Awakening?

The talk is part of a special “Buddhist Talk and Meditation” session beginning at 17:00. The talk will be followed by a discussion and a guided meditation. You are welcome to take part in the whole event or just come for the talk. The full event programme is as follows:
