The museum’s reserve collection, housed in west London, is made up of more than 400,000 items including trolley buses, trams, rare signs and posters and even a section of a spiral escalator.

Head of Trading at London Transport Museum, Michael Walton, describes the depot as a “treasure trove of London’s history,”
