Formula Student - views from a judge and competitors

The Formula Student motor racing competition from the perspectives of a judge, Trevor Cave, and competitors, Full Blue Racing, Cambridge University’s racing team, who will present their latest entry.

Trevor Cave is a local branch member who came into IMechE largely through judging Formula Student, 10 times since 1999, during which time he has seen the competition grow and develop.

Full Blue Racing (www.fullblueracing.co.uk), Cambridge University’s team, has been competing since 2006. They will present their latest entry, FBR15 , which will be judged by Trevor and the audience, to illustrate the principles and purposes of the competition.

Date: Thursday 19 February 2015

Time: Refreshments served from 18.30. Talk starts at 19.00. Ends by 21:00 following questions and discussion.

Venue: Lecture Room 4, Cambridge University Engineering Department, Trumpington Street, Cambridge CB2 1PZ (directions) There is limited parking available on site.

Free to attend. Booking not required. All welcome.

This talk is open to the public and is suitable for students and engineers. You are encouraged to bring with you colleagues, friends and family who are interested in engineering and motorsport.
