Finuala Dowling (June 1962) is a South African poet and writer. Her first poetry anthology, I Flying, was published in 2002 and won the Ingrid Jonker Prize. She has also won the Sanlam Award for Poetry and the Olive Schreiner Prize. She won the 2012 M-Net Literary Award (English category) for Homemaking for the Down-at-Heart. We have limited places available for an afternoon workshop with Finuala before an evening poetry reading. Please book early to avoid disappointment. The workshop will start at 15h00 and end at 17h00 in the Alison Shrubsole Room, Homerton College. The reading will start at 18h00 and end at 20h00 in the Drawing Room, Homerton College. You are welcome to book for both elements but please note that there are only 20 places for the afternoon workshop and 40 places for the evening reading.
