Cambridge Ukrainian Studies, an academic centre in the Department of Slavonic Studies at the University of Cambridge, is pleased to present The Seventh Annual Cambridge Festival of Ukrainian Film. Admission is free, but seating is limited. Click here to register for your free tickets on Eventbrite Featuring the best of Ukrainian cinema from its beginnings to the present day, the Cambridge Festival of Ukrainian Film is headlined this year by two celebrated new films with critical significance for an understanding of today’s Ukraine: Sergei Loznitsa’s Maidan (2014) and Akhtem Seitablaiev’s Khaytarma (2013). The films are in the Crimean Tatar, Russian and Ukrainian languages with English subtitles. Receptions follow both the Friday and Saturday screenings in the Arts Picturehouse cafe.
