Whether you are on the road to professional registration with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers or an existing Member looking to become a Fellow, this seminar will help to clarify any questions you may have over what lays ahead. A panel of members, well versed in the requirements for all types registration and the process involved, will be able to answer your questions and provide you with individualised guidance to help you succeed. Items that will be covered include a review of the application process and forms, competencies requirements and how to provide evidence, and what to expect at the interview. This event is equally suitable if you are well advanced and require for example help finding sponsors or if you are just thinking about applying and want to find out a bit more. Venue: Institute for Manufacturing, Cambridge University, Alan Reece Building, 17 Charles Babbage Road, Cambridge CB3 0FS (directions). There is ample free parking in the IfM’s carpark beside the building; the carpark entrance is just past the IfM’s service road. Refreshments will be served from 18.00; presentations and discussion from 18.30; expected to conclude around 20.00. Open to all engineers and IMechE members considering their membership of the IMechE. Free to attend. No booking required.
