Part of the TCSS Symposium

In 1996, Goldman and Kaufman presented a paper linking the previously disjoint fields of knot theory and molecular biology. In this talk I will give an overview of the paper, hopefully without getting too deep into the mathematical side of things. The talk will be accessible for all, relying on no previous knowledge of either field.

This talk is part of the Trinity College Science Society (TCSS) series.
