Dr Charlotte Tulinius will talk about how traditional dancing and chanting give new hope for a change in the otherwise challenging life for girls growing up in a small Maasai community in Kenya. Despite Kenyan legislation the tradition is still very early marriages, and the preparation of the girl bride includes genital mutilation. Event presented by Anglia Ruskin University as part of International Women’s Day. Free event, please pre-book at www.anglia.ac.uk/communityevents.
