Organic and metalorganic materials play a seminal role in the function of non-linear optics, solar cells, and optical switching technology. Yet, the full richness of functional information in their electronic structures most often lies latent. This talk shows how one can derive optical properties from molecular structure to benefit such technological applications.

This talk is part of the Physics and Chemistry of Solids Group series.
