The book offers an introductory account of educational research, with a particular emphasis on the needs and perspective of teachers undertaking research into their own professional context – for example for PGCE assignments or thesis projects. The new edition includes discussion of examples of classroom-based research undertaken by PGCE students on the Cambridge partnership courses (and published in the online Journal of Trainee Teacher Educational Research – JoTTER).
