If you have a question about this talk, please contact Matthew Jones. Jon Lewis of Plextek will talk on: “How to harness the Facebook generation in mature engineering organisations” Plextek has provided high quality design services for 25 years but our clients are now demanding more than just great engineering. They are looking for partners that bring unique technology, which will give them an advantage. In order to achieve this, we are harnessing the imagination of all of our staff through a social media open innovation process. Gareth Crocker of Amino Communications will talk on: The tsunami on 11th April 2012 devastated Thailand’s production of components used in production of CE devices. For a set top box manufacturer this forced a search for hard disk drives to secure production and profitability of the business, but also forced a change to new technology with an unexpected impact on software. This talk will summarise the impact of ‘a simple change of hard drive’ throughout the company, the impact of a technology change and the tale of the software engineer who worked through the weekend to fix it. This talk is part of the Software Innovation series. This talk is included in these lists:Note that ex-directory lists are not shown. |
