In the light of the upcoming centenary, we are gathering four current post-graduate historians, whose doctoral research treats of four very different aspects of First World War history, ranging from subjects as diverse as British signals intelligence to the Anglo-German naval race, and sprawling geographically from Ireland to the cities of the Eastern Mediterranean.

Our speakers will each briefly present their research and Prof Biagini shall moderate a roundtable discussion with an strong emphasis on debating the impact of the centenary on the upcoming generation of historians.

This talk is part of the Violence and Conflict Graduate Workshop, Faculty of History series.
