In the light of the upcoming centenary, we are gathering four current post-graduate historians, whose doctoral research treats of four very different aspects of First World War history, ranging from subjects as diverse as British signals intelligence to the Anglo-German naval race, and sprawling geographically from Ireland to the cities of the Eastern Mediterranean. Our speakers will each briefly present their research and Prof Biagini shall moderate a roundtable discussion with an strong emphasis on debating the impact of the centenary on the upcoming generation of historians.
