If you have a question about this talk, please contact Jesse Olszynko-Gryn. This third series of ‘Reproduction on Film’ charts changes in cinematic representations of pregnancy, childbirth and babies from the 1940s to the present day. http://www.hps.cam.ac.uk/medicine/film3.html In this comedy romp with a twist, Schwarzenegger is a struggling fertility scientist who indulges in self-experimentation with a new drug after he loses his research grant. The drug works and the hilariously feminised muscleman becomes a mother, supported by a surprisingly well-matched Thompson in the father role. Introduced and with discussion led by Laura King (University of Leeds): http://www.picturehouses.co.uk/cinema/Arts_Picturehouse_Cambridge/film/Junior/ This talk is part of the Reproduction on Film 3: Making Babies series.
