DR ANG SWEE CHAI , founder of MEDICAL AID FOR PALESTINIANS talks at the Bateman Auditorium (Gonville and Caius) at 6pm on Thursday, 27th October.

As an orthopaedic surgeon, she has worked actively in Palestinian refugee camps. She founded “Medical Aid for Palestine”, a charity established in the wake of the 1982 Sabra Shatila massacre in Lebanon. She discussed her personal experiences in the book “From Beirut to Jerusalem”, for which she was presented with a “Lifetime Achievement Award”.

Join us for an insightful evening into what Global Health really means away from the boundaries of the UK.
