The title of Dr Michael Moser’s presentation is ‘Ukrainian, Russian, and Rusyn on the Western Periphery: A Comparison of Interwar Galicia and Transcarpathia.’ Dr Moser is Associate Professor at the Institute for Slavic Studies at the University of Vienna and Professor at the Ukrainian Free University in Munich. In 2005, Moser was awarded a START Award by the Austrian Science Foundation for his project ‘1000 Years of Ukrainian Language History in Galicia’. He was a Shklar Fellow at Harvard University in 2005.
