If you have a question about this talk, please contact Mustapha Amrani. This talk has been canceled/deleted This talk concerns the problem of compactifying the moduli spaces of shtukas. Drinfeld and Lafforgue succeeded in constructing one compactification of such moduli spaces using the Langton’s semistable reduction. Recently, the author has constructed a family of compactifications using the GIT method. I will report a joint work in progress with Y. Varshavsky how to rediscover these compactifications from the semistable method. This talk is part of the Isaac Newton Institute Seminar Series series.
