A French comedy by Gerard Oury, starring Louis de Funès et Yves Montand, inspired by Victor Hugos’s play Ruy Blas. A tax collector of the 16th century Spanish court has lost his job because of the Queen. He tries to take it back with the help of his valet who pretends to be his nephew : he will try to seduce the queen to help his master to take revenge.
