It is acknowledged that planning has a key role in delivering sustainable economic growth for Scotland and its communities and that it is in the national interest for the planning system to work efficiently. As part of the modernisation of Scotland’s planning system there has been an emphasis on improving the dialogue, behaviours and relations between stakeholders with a view to delivering planning reform in practice. This seminar will consider ‘culture change’ and examine the Edinburgh Concordat as an example of contractualised relations in the delivery of planning.
