Professor Mike Hulme, professor of climate change in the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia (UEA) and Founding Director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research (2000 to 2007) will speak about his work since the 1980s which has informed the UN panel on climate change, the UK government and the EU Commission. He will refer to his most recent book ‘Why We Disagree About Climate Change: understanding controversy, inaction and opportunity’ which was published in 2009.
