Stokes Society Centenary - Accenture Lecture Series As we understand more about the molecular genetics and biology of cancer, it becomes increasingly possible to develop rational approaches to treatment and prevention. Bruce Ponder will illustrate some of these from the work going on in Cambridge, in particular at the new Cancer Research UK Cambridge Research Institute. Professor Sir Bruce Ponder is Director and Professor of Oncology at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Research Institute. He is world-renowned for his pioneering research into discovering genes that affect our risk of common cancers, particularly breast cancer. He is also investigating the genetics of oesophageal cancer. This talk is part of the Stokes Society, Pembroke College series.
