This year’s conference looks at the challenges facing the construction sector as a whole, focussing on how sustainability can be achievable even in a downturn, why the existing stock must be the new priority, and how energy generation has become a key issue at a micro and local level. Its a great opportunity to hear relevant Government ministers and members of the main opposition parties, as well as senior figures from the sector, discussing their ideas and commitments for converting the UK’s built environment into a low-carbon one. This is a joint EWB Cambridge – CUES trip, with travel costs heavily subsidised for CUES members.
