Fast reactors, using fast neutrons to sustain the fission process, as opposed to traditional thermal reactors that rely on slower neutrons, bring advantages in terms of fuel efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainability of nuclear energy. Anthony Judd, former Chief Technologist for Fast Reactors at Dounreay shares his insights and experiences with fast reactor technology.
