If you have a question about this talk, please contact Emli-Mari Nel. This talk has been canceled/deleted I would like to discuss the rapid development of compressive sensing in the past few years. As a starting point I would like to discuss the tutorial “An introduction to compressive sampling” by Emmanuel Candès and Michael Wakin, (IEEE Signal Processing Magazine, 25(2), pp. 21 – 30, March 2008). It can be downloaded from along with many other papers about compressive sensing. I would also like to discuss the possible application of compressive sensing to computer vision (e.g., the single pixel camera), machine learning problems, and radio astronomy.
