If you have a question about this talk, please contact nobody. ADIW04 - Anti-Diffusion in Multiphase and Active Flows Anti-diffusion in active fluids is a dissipative phenomenon that arises due to the breaking of detailed balance in these internally driven systems. When no arresting mechanism exists, this results in MIPS . When an arresting mechanism is present, it leads to self limited structures of finite size. In this talk, I will discuss clustering and self limited structure in active fluids where the arresting mechanism arise due to aligning interactions between elongated particles. I will do this using two examples : a) A microscopic model of self propelled rods enclosed in elastic vesicles and b) experimental results from an active fluid made of microtubules and kinesin motors.
