ADIW04 - Anti-Diffusion in Multiphase and Active Flows

Dense active matter shows mesoscale turbulence, the emergence of chaotic flow structures characterised by high vorticity and self-propelled topological defects. I will present results using continuum models of active turbulence to model phase ordering in active mixtures and the patterns formed by expanding bacterial colonies.
