Materials have defined human existence. The Stone Age, the Bronze Age and the Iron Age are all part of human history, however, these days plastics are seen as the key materials for developing our technology and our standard of life. Marta will consider whether it is possible to do without them, what the alternatives might be and whether we can make plastics more sustainable.

This talk is part of the Bioplastics for a Sustainable Future series.
