Abstract: Cam AI is answering the global mental health emergency, using the efficiencies gained from AI technology, to scale the provision of psychological healthcare. We are the UNICEF of Cyberspace or St Johns Ambulance of the Metaverse! We are a Cambridge based, pre-seed, deep-tech, interdisciplinary, mental health company, with a responsible and data-driven approach to mental health support. Simon will talk about what Cam AI is doing, from the perspectives of business, AI, research and recruitment.

Speaker: Dr Simon Fothergill is the Lead Engineer at Cam AI. He graduated with a Ph.D. in “Signals to Symbols” from the Computer Lab in 2013 under the supervision of Professor Andy Hopper. Simon has worked in start-ups of various sizes and stages for the last 10 years, as part of the Cambridge phenomenon. He has had an NLP focus to his career and has worked for Autonomy and SecondMind, as well as at Microsoft Research.
