In this talk I present the results of my work studying the ionising photon production efficiency of 30 Lyman-alpha emitters (LAEs) at the end of the Epoch of Reionisation (z ~ 5.4-6.6), using JEMS and MUSE . Understanding this type of galaxies is crucial since they are believed to dominate the ionising budget of the Universe. Therefore, I will place these results in the context of our understanding of reionisation, and will provide a framework for future studies.
