The science is now crystal clear: carbon emissions from all industrial sectors must be quickly reduced to zero to avoid the devastating impacts of climate change. But how is it possible to decarbonize the production of bulk materials (i.e., steel, concrete, timber, and plastic) within a limited timeframe? This talk will explore the future of materials systems at national and global levels and outline the challenges and opportunities for relevant stakeholders.
