If you have a question about this talk, please contact Juntae Seong. Atterberg limits are key parameters in geotechnical engineering, giving much valuable information on soil consistency and strength. Despite their simplicity they are generally poorly understood, leading to much erroneous discussion. This presentation will show how the mechanics of testing leads to a simple understanding of these limits’ relevance. This talk is part of the Cambridge University Geotechnical Society series.
