This event in Cambridge is part of a series of international commemorations of Proust’s life and work this year. Editor of the Penguin Proust translation, author of Proust the Sceptic: Miracles and Mad Beliefs (2013), Christopher Prendergast has this year published Living and Dying with Marcel Proust (2022), described by Edmund White, in The New York Times as ‘a splendid new book’. This is a rare chance to hear Christopher Prendergast FBA , Professor of French, talk about Proust in Cambridge. This talk is part of the efw1000's list series.
