In this talk Professor Khera will be discussing the impact of digital technologies on welfare mechanisms such as Aadhar. Dr. Khera will discuss how the program aimed to biometrically register India’s 1.3 billion residents in an even-handed, judicious way. But although millions enrolled, the program remains riddled with colossal privacy and corruption challenges. This talk is part of the Cambridge India Talk Series series.
