If you have a question about this talk, please contact nobody. TUR - Mathematical aspects of turbulence: where do we stand? I will describe the physical background which motivates the choice of equations which describe the large-scale flow in different regions of the atmosphere. I will then discuss how they control the nature and intensity of atmospheric turbulence. Discussion during the talk is strongly encouraged.
