Agricultural robotics has started to be adopted in commercial operations, however it is still far from being in general use with most systems being very sector- or even farm-specific.

To gain greater reach and scalability this industry must increase knowledge sharing and the use of common platforms, tools, and standards. This talk will discuss some of the key technologies developed in other industries, for example automotive, which could be adopted by the UK agricultural robotics community to accelerate development and help solve some of the key challenges faced by UK agriculture.

We will also take a look at the role of the Agri-EPI Centre including its facilities, services and previous work undertaken in robotics collaboration.

This talk is part of the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training -- Agriforwards CDT (CAMBRIDGE) series.
