Over the past decade, we have seen the meteoric rise of the video streaming giants – Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ to name a few. These companies have given their customers the ability to watch their favourite movies and tv shows wherever they want, whenever they want and at a moments notice. Wouldn’t it be great if you could do the same with video games?

In this talk, I will cover the basics of cloud gaming and introduce you to various protocols such as QUIC and BBR , and codecs such as H.265 and VP9 , which have been developed in recent years to enable the growth of the video game streaming industry.
