If you have a question about this talk, please contact Tom Maxtone. We already mentioned that you can use a VPN when downloading torrents, and now let’s find out what benefits this brings you:
DISCLAIMER : We at https://ip-locations.org/ do not encourage or endorse copyright infringement or the use of torrents. However, we do realize that many people in the world can only receive entertainment, educational, and work files or software using torrents. What does my Internet service provider see when I use a VPN ? Basically, as long as you use the VPN service with strong encryption, your ISP will not be able to see what you are doing on the Internet at all. They will not know what sites you are browsing, what files you are uploading, or what videos you are watching. Your ISP will only be able to see unrelated character sets. The only thing he will be able to see is:
This is why many people use VPNs to avoid ISP bandwidth regulation. Why does Netflix block VPN services? Netflix has been trying to block VPN Services since 2016. And by the way, they do it because they’ve already blacklisted several major VPN providers. Why does Netflix focus so much on VPN ? Mainly because this streaming platform does not own the copyright on all the content offered. In addition, in order to broadcast shows and movies around the world, both Netflix and the rights holders must acquire licenses. This can result in serious kopecks, so it’s no wonder that Netflix and the copyright owners find it easier to simply restrict access to US content in the rest of the world. So, blocking the VPN Service is more of an attempt by Netflix to comply with all license agreements with film studios and TV shows. How does Netflix succeed in blocking the VPN ? Simply put, the company attracts advanced VPN user detection techniques. Because many VPN providers provide a shared IP address, Netflix checks how many requests and data are transmitted from one particular address. Once Netflix servers discover that the IP address belongs to the VPN provider, it is blacklisted. Sometimes Netflix blocks IP addresses in packs because some VPN providers buy them in the same way. However, this has negative consequences, because IP addresses, which belong to their absolutely law-abiding users, are also “in handouts”. Of course, this does not mean that Netflix can block absolutely all VPN providers in this way. Many Services periodically develop workarounds, so Netflix is not always available to VPN users, but if you want to get really uninterrupted access to Netflix, you should choose the VPN Service, which offers not only VPN services, but also proxy and Smart DNS services. This way, you will have several ways to unlock Netflix. And if Netflix suddenly blocks one of the services, you will have a backup (or even two). This talk is part of the Technology series.
