If you have a question about this talk, please contact Lucy Fairweather. Vote Leave whistleblower Shahmir Sanni joins Pembroke Politics to speak on the topic of ‘How the White Man stole democracy (again)’. After working as a volunteer in the Vote Leave campaign, last year Shahmir exposed the overspending and electoral corruption undertaken by the official Leave campaign, including a donation of £625,000 which made its way to a digital services firm linked to Cambridge Analytica. Shahmir will speak on how electoral corruption and social media manipulation has influenced recent democratic processes in what is set to be a thought-provoking and pertinent talk. As always, cheese and wine will be provided and there will be time for questions at the end. This talk is part of the How the white man stole democracy (again) series.
