If you have a question about this talk, please contact Matthew Priddin. In this talk I will present a Wiener-Hopf solution to the wave-structure interaction problem comprising a semi-infinite elastic plate that is submerged within a linear fluid domain. This solution provides a numerically efficient tool for examining offshore breakwater and wave barrier designs. In the literature, considerable effort has been directed towards rigid acoustic structures, whereas bending structures have received comparatively less attention.
