See below for our exciting lineup! ‘Jon Rozenbeek is a researcher at Cambridge University’s Social Decision-Making Lab and will explore how fake news can be demystified by pre-emptively exposing the techniques and strategies used in its production.’ ‘Melanie Hoyes, a prominent advocate for equity and access in the film industry, will address the idea of misrepresentation within representation in filmic/screen narratives, and attempt to establish what meaningful representation might look like and how this might be achieved.’ ‘Andrew Salmon is a nanotechnology researcher at the Nanophotonics Centre of the University of Cambridge and will look at how common intuitions developed in the macroscale world are broken on the nanoscale.’ ‘Marion Leeper, the very first Bard of Cambridge, will share a traditional East Anglian story, and explore how this story poses questions about how we see in our lives today.’ This talk is part of the TEDxCambridgeUniversity series.
