If you have a question about this talk, please contact Ms Clare Francis. Does the West have a moral responsibility to resettle displaced populations, giving opportunities for education, employment, and returning remittances? This panel will set this argument against the suggestion that it is better for the future recovery of war-torn countries to encourage the integration of refugees into nearby host countries that share cultural ties and language. Whether in the West or elsewhere, we ask what measures can be taken to ensure healthy integration and promote long-term economic development of individuals and societies.
