Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is a large subfield of mechanics, which has applications in disciplines ranging from biology to engineering. In this talk, I will give a brief introduction to what exactly CFD is, and what the specific challenges I am faced with are when trying to simulate the flow of cementing jobs during wellbore drilling.
