Eighty years on, it may be of interest to revisit yet again the phenomenon of Appeasement and the still controversial Munich Agreement of 1938, its causes, content and consequences. Revisionist historians applaud Prime Minister Neville’s Chamberlain’s efforts to reach agreement withHitler. Others argue that his policy at and after Munich led straight to catastrophe.
