Further detail
Enterprise Tuesday is a series of free evening lectures and networking sessions managed and delivered by the Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (CfEL). The programme aims to introduce participants to the world of business, as well as to encourage and inspire individuals to pursue their entrepreneurial ambition. It is the most popular non-assessed programme within the University and the model has been adopted by numerous other academic institutions as well as corporations. Who is it for? Enterprise Tuesday is open to all University of Cambridge staff and students, members of other universities and the local business community. The series is particularly relevant for postgraduate students considering future career paths, those exploring entrepreneurial opportunities and looking to build high quality networks with experts and practitioners. It is also a chance for the business community to mix with the next generation of talent. Enterprise Tuesday takes place on four Tuesdays in Michaelmas and four Tuesdays in Lent, at the University of Cambridge Engineering Department. The weekly format consists of a lecture following by an hour of networking. Enterprise Tuesday is for those who want to: • Find out how they can develop their business idea • Learn the ‘how to’ by developing basic business skills • Explore the entrepreneur inside • Build skills needed for entry to business creation competitions • Meet like-minded individuals and develop multi-skilled teams • Know how to transform an idea into enterprise • Network with experienced and successful entrepreneurs The timetable for the next series is at http://www.cfel.jbs.cam.ac.uk/programmes/enterprisetuesday/programme/timetable.html In general, the theme of the first term of lectures is inspiration and the second term is about information or the ‘how to’ of becoming an entrepreneur. The next series will start in November 2013. Please register online if you would like to attend. Registration is now open for the 2013/14 series. If you would like to sign up, please complete the registration form at http://www.cfel.jbs.cam.ac.uk/programmes/enterprisetuesday/register.html Registration is free and you only need to register online once for the whole series.
