The Sackler Lecture series is funded by an endowment from the Raymond and Beverly Sackler Foundation and takes place each year, usually in the Michaelmas term, at the Institute of Astronomy.

The aim of the lecture is to bring distinguished speakers to Cambridge to inspire undergraduates and young researchers in astronomy.
